these readings are timeless. Trust what resonates and allow yourself to let go of what doesn’t.

this week is delivering a message to you, it could be in the form of a letter, a phone call, an appointment or verdict you've been waiting on.

It's not necessarily something outwardly important, it might seem insignificant from the outside, but what you're being directed to observe is how you react to this message. Because the Strength card surrounds this message, and that's all about your shadow — the parts of yourself that you keep stuffed away from view.

be aware of any moments that get you 'triggered' or pull you into a lower vibration, I'm hearing jealousy, despair, shame… any of these states that make their way into your energy field have likely been triggered by a particular message you've received this week. The trigger isn't something you need to soothe or fix — it's a signpost, drawing your attention to parts of yourself that are asking to be heard. Your shadow parts are in the shadow but they are not bad parts. They are where your light has been blocked and it is coming up, asking to be released.

observe your reactions. If you are expecting a specific message this week, be aware of your mental and physical reaction when you come face to face with this message. Again, this isn't necessarily about preparing yourself to act calmly or in a positive way, it will actually be helpful to observe how you react naturally, even if that is a 'negative' reaction that comes with difficult emotions like anger, hurt, or sadness. You're not being asked to act differently, you're being asked to consciously observe your reaction and make the connection between that reaction and your shadow parts that are asking to be seen and heard.

this is coming at a point in time where you are extremely burnt out. And so, I want to acknowledge that trying to detach from your survival responses is incredibly tough when you feel like this.

so on one hand, you might find yourself saying and doing things that don't feel like 'you', that you later regret or feel guilty about. Do what you need to do in terms of making amends with other people, but also, see this situation as a warning, that you are at capacity in many ways, and could do with pulling back your energy from projects and people that are unnecessarily draining.

the full moon on 7 October may be significant for you, as full moons are when energy is at its peak so you might find that it gets easier to manage your energy after that, and that things start to naturally be taken off your plate in terms of extra responsibility.

message from your higher self

your higher self is coming through now and wants to say this: “All that you are is enough. Status will not support you or nudge you back into alignment. You are already your perfect self. Letting go is what reveals the light. Less is more.”

so I asked the tarot specifically what it is that you are to let go of, and pulled the 10 of Cups. You are being asked to let go of the image of a perfect life that you have for yourself. You're imagining a specific home, a certain kind of family dynamic, a particular salary or career… you're painting a picture that is made up of material things and is in many ways devoid of truth.

You're being asked to let go of strict vision of the future and instead, explore the idea of your energetic future.

in terms of the burnout we just spoke about, do you in some way feel that this is necessary to achieve your vision of the future? Can you let go of that notion that success/peace can only come after a period of suffering? Is there an energetic future for you that is brimming with peace, rest, ease, and love? Could an abundance of this energy be more valuable than any home or vocation you could dream of?

what do do next

The final card, 10 of Swords, is a warning — without stepping in to address your dwindling energy levels, you risk hitting the deck and taking longer to recover. This may be the path you need to take, sometimes we have to hit rock bottom to see that something isn't working, but if you'd rather not be forced to rest due to mental and physical ailments, this week is your chance to pull back and put some preventative measures in place to avoid that.

Page of Pentacles is saying start with the body. Take care of your body this week, especially in relation to those triggers I mentioned — think about what works for you in terms of soothing your nervous system.

Make a list (e.g. walk outside, warm bath, meditate, whatever brings you peae) and return to this list when you need it. With that burnout lingering, make sure to give yourself ample rest, that means doing things slowly, being present in every minute that you can, and being upfront with friends and family. Did you know you can say: “I'm too burnt out for that, I need to rest.” Yes, it really can be that simple.
