Trust what resonates and allow yourself to let go of what doesn’t.
We’ve got a lot of information about a personal choice you are being asked to really focus on in September.
Normally the cards offer up a few messages for the month, but this time felt distinctly different. It’s as though each card came through to deepen and emphasise the message that came out at the start.
It may not read any differently to you, but I just wanted to highlight HOW the message came through this month — so that may be of significance to you. Perhaps clarity and emphasis is something you’re working on this month too.
questions to ask in September
There’s a decision we are being called to make this month and it’s not a big decision. It’s not one big life changing choice — it’s more about the repetitiveness of bringing yourself back to centre and continually asking:
Where do I want to spend my energy?
Where have I been leaking energy to things that I don’t really care about?
Because as much as we want to lean into this concept of abundance and feeling like there’s no rush and that there’s no such thing as ‘lack’, we also have to contend with the fact that we are universal energy existing in human bodies (!!) and that we do have finite amount of energy each day.
Just because something can be replenished doesn’t mean it’s never-ending.
Many of of us have limited resources in terms of physical, mental energy as well as money, connections, networks, and status — so these next few weeks are about being honest and pragmatic about what you currently have access to and what you have the capacity to create.
use your time intentionally in September
Six of pentacles is about renegotiating how much you give to other people and other projects.
So if you’re a people pleaser or guilty of giving away your time and energy to other people because you feel like it’s the ‘right’ thing to do…. Well, you’re being asked to think more deeply about that, and think about whether you’re stuck in a bit of martyrdom.
You don’t get any prizes for running yourself into the ground.
You don’t get any prizes for being charitable and putting your needs to one side.
This month is asking you to consider: what are the consequences of needing to be seen as ‘good’?
Obviously there are lots of situations we DO have to put our needs aside — if you’re in a caring role or you have to spend your money on things that you would rather not, some days we just have to accept that we can’t put our needs to one side. But this moment is an opportunity to think about where in your life you DO have the control to prioritise your needs and where you need to assert that control.
don’t spread yourself too thin in September
We’ve got the Ace of Swords in the Ace of Wands and they are symbolising new ideas coming to you, and because we have two of them it’s like your magic is doubly bubbling at the moment, asking to be brought to life.
Ace of Swords is about encouraging the magic come out via intellectualism and knowledge. This is about honouring your need for wonder and excitement. That might mean learning, self-development, or going back to a classroom environment. It could be prioritising habits that allow you to be more mentally agile and expand your thinking capabilities. Mind expansion.
We’ve also got the Ace of Wands which feels more about pouring your magic into passion projects through things that may be a little bit more intuitive and heart-led, focused on the body, and speak more to the fire that you’ve got inside. This might feel a bit more unexpected and you might not be sure of how it’s gonna turn out.
Maybe you don’t have to choose between the two aces. Maybe you just think you do.
Maybe you can channel your magic into both — but you have to be intentional about HOW you do that.
Because if you fall into the trap of just giving your energy away without thinking about it then you’re not gonna have any left for the projects that really matter. You could do it all… but do you want to? And who does that serve?
focus on letting go in September
We’ve also got the Four of Cups which is emphasising that just because you’re acknowledging you have limitations that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. There’s part of you that wants to prove you can have it all but it’s ego talking.
When you become intentional about what you’re creating you must also be intentional about what you refuse to create.
Some things have to fall by the wayside, some things that you’re gonna have to give up. There’s going to be a feeling of missing out, I think there’s gonna be a feeling of I wish I could do all my passion projects. I wish I could follow my artistic urge and my intellectual side.
You can do that long-term, but if you want to make progress this month, and give this new thing a really good a good chance to take hold and a good chance of being successful, then you’re being invited to come to terms with the loss of the other thing.
You’re coming to terms with not reaching your potential in every area of your life, and that may feel really sad. But realistically if you spread yourself too thin you are not gonna be the best that ANY of those, so this is for those of you who want to really like master your craft, or you really want to raise the bar in a certain industry.
Questions to delve deeper:
What am I being asked to give up?
Where should I direct my focus this month?
